I have been dropping files from my MacBook to iPad using AirDrop and let me tell you it is, SEAMLESS.
BY (Before Yosemite), I use to transfer files from my iPad to Macbook via iMessage. This was a tiring experience as I had to then download and save my files individually. I have used the updated version of AirDrop with students and we have been dropping files like they are hot!
